If the fare is less than $300, you will be refund that amount rather than the full $300 as the award covers airfare only. Additional administrative forms may be needed. Determination and Distribution of Awards:
It is expected that all registrants who show need for a travel award will receive assistance; however, to apply, teachers must already be registered for participation in the STUDY CANADA 2012 program. The same is true for scholarship applications.
Applicants for travel awards will be notified within a week of submitting the Support Application Form, if a travel award is granted. A maximum of one award is available per applicant. Companions are not eligible. First-time program registrants have top priority.
An announcement will be made by May 15, 2012 regarding STUDY CANADA Scholarship recipients. If no scholarships are available in a given year, all scholarship applications will automatically be added to the travel award pool of applications so there is no need to apply for both awards.
Travel Award amounts are determined by date of application, distance, cost and funding available. Award checks are mailed directly to registrants as soon as can be administered while scholarship checks are distributed in person.
We are no longer accepting applications for 2012.
